With a quarter-century of experience in the bentonite mining industry, BB Madencilik has identified 50 million tons of high-quality calcium white bentonite in its fields, located 19 km from Ünye Port and 24 km from Fatsa Port, as a result of drilling operations. The bentonite soil, whose reserves have been confirmed, has undergone extensive testing at MTA, MAM, TÜBİTAK, by our export customers, and in our own facility’s state-of-the-art laboratory — one of the most comprehensive in the sector. These tests have proven its suitability for use in many industries such as detergents, cosmetics, paper, pharmaceuticals, paints, desiccants, ceramics, bleaching earth, and cat litter. In addition to our calcium bentonite reserves in the Ünye and Fatsa regions, our company also owns approximately 2,000 hectares of sodium bentonite fields in Tokat, recognized as the highest-quality source in the region.

   Our production facility, built on 16,500 m² in the Ünye Organized Industrial Zone, is located 70 km from Samsun Çarşamba Airport and 80 km from Ordu-Giresun Airport, offering a significant advantage in terms of air transport. Furthermore, our stock areas of 10,000 m² in Ünye and 15,000 m² in Fatsa are strategically close to Ünye Port, which is planned to become the largest container port on the Black Sea, providing a major advantage in sea transportation. Fatsa Port, as well as Samsun and Trabzon Ports where container shipping is available, are also alternative options. With the completion of the Black Sea–Mediterranean Highway, currently under construction, the distance to Mediterranean ports will be reduced to only six hours, further increasing the importance of the mining fields in our region.
