Casting Bentonite

BB Maden-Casting Bentonite

The most important feature of this product is that when exposed to high heat loads or high melting temperatures, the crystal structure degrades less than Calcium Based Bentonites and the reduction in binding properties is limited.

Cast Bentonite, with its high thermal resistance, optimum swelling and gelation, low fire loss and high KDK, provides the opportunity to prepare wet sand in a very short time and to work with low water amounts.

Foundry Bentonite is also a foundry and foundryman friendly, economical foundry bentonite product with optimum wet tensile and shear strength, which, thanks to its high thermal stability, provides low dead clay in the return sand, thus less bentonite addition and ultimately a better quality casting.

The most important feature of this product is that when exposed to high heat loads or high melting temperatures, the crystal structure is less disrupted than Calcium Based Bentonites and the reduction in binding properties is limited.

Thanks to this high heat resistance, production in molding lines can be maintained by adding less bentonite and sand. In this way, production errors due to high humidity are prevented as a result of a large reduction in the amount of moisture. In addition, costs are reduced as less waste is disposed of in the environment due to low utilization.

ADVANTAGES:

Reduction in sand-induced casting defects

High wet tensile strength

High Liquid Limit

Prevention of agglomeration in the molding line

Reaching the desired compressibility value with less water

Thermal stabilization at high temperature

Less Bentonite usage

High quality casting production
